Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a general score of 75.8, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5's 74.3 score. Both of these tablets come with the same Android 4.4.2 OS. Despite being the best in our current comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is an older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker portable tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1600 x 2560 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also counts with a just a little higher amount of pixels per inch in the display.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with just a bit more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a SD card slot that holds up to 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a bit superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has lesser CPU cores (although they are faster), and they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.

Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features just a little bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because it has a 4 percent bigger battery size. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 captures better photos and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014). Both have the same (Full HD) video quality, the same video frame rate and a back-facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, resigning a couple specifications.
