The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has an overall score of 74.3, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 7.7's 64.8 global score. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is heavier than the Galaxy Tab 7.7, it's thinner and also a lot newer. Both devices in this review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and also faster) and 2 GB more RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a really larger screen, a better pixel amount per inch in the screen and a way better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 shoots greater videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a back-facing camera with a way better 8 megapixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a really longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has 7900mAh of battery capacity.
