Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a general score of 75.2, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5's global score of 74.3. Both tablets in this review have the same Android 4.4.2 OS (operating system), so they should provide the user the same OS features. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's construction is a little bit thicker but notably lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and both of them were only released with a couple of months difference.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has 4 less cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have the same exact 2560 x 1600px resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also counts with a bit greater amount of pixels in each inch of display.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with just a bit more memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 captures just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and although they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rate.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has 7900mAh of battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, resigning a couple features and specs.
