Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, getting a 74.5 score against 60.8. Both devices in our current comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 construction is a lot thinner and just a little lighter than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, even when both of them were only released 9 months apart.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a little bit lower pixel density, a way worse 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a bit smaller screen. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit bigger memory for apps and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB.
