Comparison review
The iPad Air 2 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, with a 79.3 score against 74.5. IPad Air 2 has iOS 8.x operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system. Although the iPad Air 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 were only released with a couple of months difference, the iPad Air 2 design is just a little bit thinner but extremely heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little more vivid screen than Apple iPad Air 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a higher screen density. IPad Air 2 counts with a CPU that is just as good as Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's processing unit, because although the iPad Air 2 has lesser RAM and a lower number of cores, it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit.
Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a very superior memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity. The Apple iPad Air 2 has a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the same video frame rate and the same resolution camera.
The iPad Air 2 features a superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 7340mAh of battery capacity instead of 4900mAh.
Although Apple iPad Air 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab S 8.4, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
