IPad mini 2 has a general score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4's 74.5 score. Despite being the best tablet device in this comparison review, the iPad mini 2 body is heavier and thicker than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. IPad mini 2 counts with iOS 8.x OS, and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS.
IPad mini 2 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has an inferior number of cores and slower and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bits processing unit. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little sharper screen than iPad mini 2, because it has a bit greater screen density, a little higher 2560 x 1600 resolution and a bit larger display.
IPad mini 2 captures clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a camera in the back with a way lower resolution and a lower (Full HD) video definition. Apple iPad mini 2 counts with a superior memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
