Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a lot better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, with a 74.5 score against 58.1. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 design is way newer, extremely lighter and a lot thinner than Galaxy Tab 8.9. These tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version, giving some nice extra features and better performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a way better screen than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better pixel amount per inch in the screen and a way better resolution of 2560 x 1600.
