Comparison review

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), getting a 74.5 score against 68.3. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has older 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an noticeably older portable tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), but Samsung managed to make it somewhat lighter and incredibly thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a way better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has way more pixels per inch of screen, a little bit larger screen and a much better resolution of 2560 x 1600. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has an external memory slot that allows up to 400 GB. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features just a little bit longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 2 percent more battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a lower (Full HD) video definition and a lot lower resolution back camera.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also very cheap compared to the other ones, which makes this tablet a great choice.
