The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is much better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), getting a general score of 75.8 against 68.3. These tablets work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has the older 12 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra's construction is extremely thinner and much lighter than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018).

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, although it has a much smaller display, a much lower resolution of 800 x 1280 and a bit inferior pixel quantity per inch in the display. Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a slightly better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with a much greater hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, although it has 4 lesser cores (although faster) and 6 GB less RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra counts with a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a 11200mAh battery size.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra features a way better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a way higher (4K) video definition, a way better resolution back facing camera and a larger camera aperture to capture better low-light photos and videos.
