Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an overall score of 82.4, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8's 76.7 global score. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has Windows 10 Pro OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 comes with Android 13 OS. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a much older, way thicker and a lot heavier portable tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a bit sharper display than Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has a just a bit worse pixels number per inch of screen, it also counts with a little higher 2736 x 1824 resolution and a little bigger display. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a much better memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 872 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a much better performance than Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with more RAM. The Galaxy Tab S8 shoots way better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because it has a much higher 3840x2160 video quality and a back camera with a way better 13 MP resolution.

So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab S8, resigning some features and specs.
