The Galaxy Tab S8 is much better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), getting a score of 76.7 against 65. Both tablets we compare here include Android OS, but Galaxy Tab S8 has the newer 13 version while Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1, counting with a lot of extra features. Galaxy Tab S8's construction is much newer, thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a lot lower pixels amount per inch in the screen, a bit smaller display and a way worse 800 x 1280 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a very superior CPU than Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU.
Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB and 112 GB more internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 counts with just a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has 8000mAh of battery capacity against 7000mAh.
Galaxy Tab S8 features a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has a lot higher (4K) video quality and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S8, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), giving up some specifications.
