Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a global score of 76.7, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s global score of 60.7. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a newer 13 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and some performance improvements. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8's design is notably newer and extremely thinner, but noticeably heavier than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a lot worse quantity of pixels per inch in the screen, a much smaller display and a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024. The Galaxy Tab S8 features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that allows up to 1 TB.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a way better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a lower number of cores and 7 GB less RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 8000mAh of battery capacity. Galaxy Tab S8 captures much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a way higher (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab S8, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a couple features and specs.
