Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a score of 76.7, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 10.5's 74.5 overall score. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has older 13 version and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has Android 9.0 Pie version. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is a noticeably newer portable tablet, and it is also a little lighter and somewhat thinner than Galaxy Tab A 10.5.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a bit worse count of pixels per inch of display, a way lower 1200 x 1920px resolution and a little smaller screen. The Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a much greater storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a much more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has a camera in the back with lot more megapixels and a lot better 3840x2160 video quality.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features just a little bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has an 8000mAh battery size instead of 7300mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab A 10.5. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
