Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is way better than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, having a 76.7 score against 60.5. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has 13 version and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat version. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8's design is way newer and thinner than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7's, although it's also heavier.
The Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a lot more pixels per inch in the display and a bit bigger display. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a much greater memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a SD memory slot that allows up to 1 TB and more internal memory.
Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a very superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and less CPU cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a much more mega-pixels back facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a 33% bigger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab S8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, giving up some specifications.
