Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is much better than Sony Tablet P's 55.7 global score. Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Sony Tablet P counts with Android 4.0.3 OS. The Microsoft Surface 2 design is newer and noticeably thinner than the Sony Tablet P's, although it's incredibly heavier.
Microsoft Surface 2 features a little sharper display than Sony Tablet P, because it has a much higher 1080 x 1920 resolution, a little bit greater screen pixels density and a way larger display. Microsoft Surface 2 features a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Tablet P, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 60 GB more internal storage.
Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a superior hardware performance than Sony Tablet P, because it has more RAM and a larger number of cores. Sony Tablet P has a really longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2. Microsoft Surface 2 has a slightly better camera than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have a 5 MP resolution back-facing camera, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a much higher (Full HD) video definition.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Sony Tablet P, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Sony Tablet P. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 2, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Tablet P, resigning some specifications.
