The Microsoft Surface Pro has a global score of 63.2, which is better than the Sony Tablet P's overall score of 55.7. Although Microsoft Surface Pro is way heavier than Sony Tablet P, it's just a little thinner and also newer. The Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro operating system, while Sony Tablet P works with Android 4.0.3 operating system.

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a better performance than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have 2 processing cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has 3 GB more RAM memory and an additional graphics processing unit. Microsoft Surface Pro features a bit sharper screen than Sony Tablet P, because it has a just a little greater display density, a lot bigger screen and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px.

Microsoft Surface Pro features a way bigger storage for apps and games than Sony Tablet P, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Sony Tablet P counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro. The Sony Tablet P features a better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Sony Tablet P also has a way more mega-pixels back camera.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Tablet P, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Tablet P. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Sony Tablet P, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
