Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has an overall score of 60.5, which is a bit better than the Sony Tablet P's general score of 55.7. Galaxy Tab A 9.7's design is extremely newer and incredibly thinner, but also heavier than Sony Tablet P. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a more recent 7.1 Nougat version while Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a bit superior CPU than Sony Tablet P, because it has more processing cores and 512 MB more RAM. The Sony Tablet P features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 480 x 1024 pixels and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a way better screen density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a way bigger memory to store more games and applications than Sony Tablet P, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory.
