Both devices in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Sony Tablet P has Android 4.0.3, so it gives a couple additional features and some performance improvements.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a way better screen than Sony Tablet P, because it has a much higher resolution of 2560 x 1600px, a much bigger display and a way better amount of pixels per inch of screen. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a better performance than Sony Tablet P, because it has a larger number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with much more storage to store more apps and games than Sony Tablet P, because it has an external SD slot that admits up to 128 GB and more internal storage.
