The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is just a bit better than the Sony Tablet S, having a global score of 61.7 against 56.3. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is a newer and a lot lighter tablet device than the Sony Tablet S, although it's just a bit thicker. Both tablets we compare here use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a more recent 4.1 version while Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0 version.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features a little more vivid screen than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a way worse 600 x 1024 resolution and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixels density. Sony Tablet S features a quite bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds 32 GB smaller, it also counts with 8 GB more internal memory.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a bit faster processor than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory and 2 cores, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE also has an extra graphics processor. Sony Tablet S takes clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Sony Tablet S also has a back facing camera with a much better 5 mega-pixels resolution.

Sony Tablet S features greater battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a 25% bigger battery size.
