The Asus VivoTab has a general score of 57.5, which is slightly better than the Sony Tablet S's overall score of 57.5. The Asus VivoTab comes with Windows 8 OS, while Sony Tablet S works with Android 4.0 OS. Although the Asus VivoTab is heavier than the Sony Tablet S, it's somewhat thinner and newer.

The Asus VivoTab features a better hardware performance than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have 2 cores, the Asus VivoTab also has a graphics processing unit and more RAM memory. The Sony Tablet S features a bit sharper display than Asus VivoTab, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 800 x 1280px and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
