Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a general score of 75.2, which is much better than Sony Tablet S's overall score of 57.5. These tablets come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0 version, so it offers some nice extra features and improved performance. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's body is much newer, way thinner and lighter than the Sony Tablet S.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a much more powerful processing unit than Sony Tablet S, because it has 1 GB more RAM memory, an extra graphics co-processor and a higher number of cores (and also faster). Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a lot better looking display than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher 2560 x 1600px resolution and a much higher screen pixel density.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a slightly bigger memory for games and applications than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.
