The Sony Vaio Tap 11 works with Windows 8 operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 works with Android 3.0 operating system. Even being the best tablet in this review, the Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a much heavier and somewhat thicker tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.

The Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both have a Dual-Core CPU. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much better 1080 x 1920 resolution, a way larger display and a just a little better pixel density.

Sony Vaio Tap 11 shoots clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a way more megapixels camera. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a much bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 128 GB internal memory. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Sony Vaio Tap 11, because it has a 58 percent greater battery capacity.

Although Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Sony Vaio Tap 11, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, letting go a couple specifications.
