Comparison review
IPad 3 is much better than the Sony Xperia Tablet S, with a score of 71.1 against 58.9. The iPad 3 comes with iOS 6.1 OS, and Sony Xperia Tablet S comes with Android 4.1.1 OS. The iPad 3 design is somewhat heavier but incredibly thinner than the Sony Xperia Tablet S, and both of them were released with only 6 months difference.
The Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with just a bit better processing power than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also has 2 more cpu cores and an additional GPU. Apple iPad 3 features a more vivid screen than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because it has a much better resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, a little bigger display and a lot more pixels per inch in the display.
The Xperia Tablet S features much more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet S also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. The iPad 3 features a very superior battery duration than Sony Xperia Tablet S.
Apple iPad 3 shoots a lot better photographs and videos than Xperia Tablet S, although it has a much worse resolution camera.
The iPad 3 costs a bit more than the Sony Xperia Tablet S, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
