Comparison review

The Dell Venue 8 Pro is just a bit better than the Xperia Tablet S, getting a score of 59.6 against 58.9. Dell Venue 8 Pro is a lighter and notably thinner tablet than Xperia Tablet S. Dell Venue 8 Pro comes with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 OS. The Dell Venue 8 Pro counts with a little better hardware performance than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Dell Venue 8 Pro also counts with more RAM.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro features a much better screen than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Dell Venue 8 Pro also counts with a just a bit better pixels density. The Xperia Tablet S has just a bit bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Dell Venue 8 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet S also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro's camera is very similar to Xperia Tablet S's camera, although the Dell Venue 8 Pro has a back-facing camera with a much worse resolution. The Dell Venue 8 Pro features a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia Tablet S.

Although Dell Venue 8 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xperia Tablet S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Tablet S. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Xperia Tablet S, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
