Comparison review

Xperia Tablet S has a general score of 58.9, which is a little bit better than LG G Pad 8.0's 58.6 general score. The Xperia Tablet S design is somewhat thicker and a lot heavier than LG G Pad 8.0. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Tablet S has 4.1.1 version while LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0.

The LG G Pad 8.0 features a much better looking display than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800px, the LG G Pad 8.0 also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch. The Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with a little better hardware performance than LG G Pad 8.0, although it has a worse 416 MHz graphics co-processor, they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and a 1 GB RAM memory.

Xperia Tablet S features a lot bigger storage for applications and games than LG G Pad 8.0, because it has an external memory slot that holds up to 128 GB and 48 GB more internal memory capacity. LG G Pad 8.0 has a way better battery lifetime than Xperia Tablet S. The LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a slightly better camera than Xperia Tablet S, although it has a camera with a way lower resolution.

Although Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G Pad 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G Pad 8.0. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia Tablet S, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the LG G Pad 8.0, letting go a couple features and specs.
