Comparison review

Galaxy Note 8.0 is much better than the Xperia Tablet S, having a general score of 69.2 against 58.9. Both of these devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1, so it offers some additional features. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a notably thinner and incredibly lighter device than Xperia Tablet S, even though both were released with only a couple months difference.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 features just a little better hardware performance than Xperia Tablet S, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a much better GPU running at 1.06 gigahertz and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has just a bit better display than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also counts with a little bit greater pixel quantity in each inch in the display.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a much better camera than Xperia Tablet S, although it has a way lower resolution camera. The Sony Xperia Tablet S has a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB and 48 GB more internal storage.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia Tablet S.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a bit more expensive than the Xperia Tablet S, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
