The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has an overall score of 61.7, which is a bit better than Xperia Tablet S's 58.9 global score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE and the Xperia Tablet S were only released 0 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is thinner and lighter. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has older 4.1 version while Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 version.

Sony Xperia Tablet S and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE feature similar displays, because although the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a much lower resolution of 600 x 1024px and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a bit greater amount of pixels in each inch of display.
