Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is much better than the Xperia Tablet S, with a general score of 64.8 against 58.9. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has older 4.0.4 version while Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1. Despite of the fact that Galaxy Tab 7.7 is older than Xperia Tablet S, it's body is incredibly thinner and extremely lighter.

The Sony Xperia Tablet S has just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also has a much better graphics processor and a larger number of cores (although slower). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a brighter display than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a little greater amount of pixels in each screen inch.

The Xperia Tablet S takes clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a much higher resolution back camera. The Sony Xperia Tablet S features more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a way better battery performance than Sony Xperia Tablet S.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Tablet S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Tablet S. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Xperia Tablet S, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
