The Xperia Tablet S has a score of 58.9, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's general score of 58.1. Xperia Tablet S's construction is newer, but thicker and incredibly heavier than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Tablet S has a newer 4.1.1 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a bit more vivid display than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280px resolution, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. The Xperia Tablet S has a superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a larger number of faster cores and a graphics processor.

The Xperia Tablet S has a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a way more megapixels back facing camera. The Xperia Tablet S features a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet S also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a very superior battery performance than Xperia Tablet S.
