Comparison review

The Sony Xperia Tablet S has a general score of 58.9, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab's overall score of 58.6. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Tablet S has newer 4.1.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3, giving you a couple additional features and increased performance. Sony Xperia Tablet S is a noticeably heavier tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab, but both are equally thin.

Sony Xperia Tablet S features a quite better processing power than Galaxy Tab, because it has more RAM memory, a larger number of cores (and faster) and a graphics co-processor. Xperia Tablet S features a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab, because although it has a little inferior amount of pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a way bigger display.

The Xperia Tablet S has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab, because it has 32 GB more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab has a very superior battery lifetime than Xperia Tablet S. The Samsung Galaxy Tab takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet S, although it has a back-facing camera with a lot lower 3 MP resolution.

Although Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia Tablet S, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab, giving up some features and specifications.
