The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a global score of 68.5, which is a bit better than the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's 62.3 overall score. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z construction is extremely heavier but just a little bit thinner than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a more recent 4.4.4 version while Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has Android 4.4, so it provides some additional features and performance improvements.

Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a little sharper display than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a much smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also counts with a better amount of pixels per inch of screen. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a little bit better performance than Xperia Tablet Z, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a greater number of cores and a much better GPU running at 700 megahertz.

The Xperia Tablet Z features a much greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has 32 GB internal memory. The Xperia Tablet Z features a little bit better camera than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a back facing camera with a lot higher 8.1 mega pixels resolution.

Xperia Tablet Z features a way better battery lifetime than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4060mAh.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8.
