The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a global score of 68.5, which is much better than the Google Nexus 7's 59.3 general score. Both tablets in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia Tablet Z has the older 4.4.4 version while Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version. Sony Xperia Tablet Z's design is heavier but much thinner than the Google Nexus 7, and both were only released with a couple of months difference.
Xperia Tablet Z has a bit sharper display than Google Nexus 7, because it has a much larger display, a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a just a bit higher pixels count per inch in the display. Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a little bit better processing power than Google Nexus 7, because although it has a weaker graphics processing unit working at 400 megahertz, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also counts with a higher amount of RAM.
The Xperia Tablet Z takes much better videos and photos than Google Nexus 7. Xperia Tablet Z has a superior storage for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 64 GB.
Xperia Tablet Z features a much longer battery duration than Google Nexus 7, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Nexus 7, resigning a couple features and specifications.
