The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is better than the HTC Flyer, getting a 68.5 score against 58.7. Although the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is heavier than HTC Flyer, it's way thinner and also newer. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has the newer 4.4.4 version and HTC Flyer has Android 3.2, so it gives you lots of additional features and enhanced performance.
The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a better looking display than HTC Flyer, because it has a better screen density, a lot larger screen and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. Xperia Tablet Z features a bit better CPU than HTC Flyer, because it has a much better GPU running at 400 megahertz, more cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.
HTC Flyer shoots clearer pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and a lot less megapixels back-facing camera. The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a slightly better memory to store more apps and games than HTC Flyer, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet Z also has an external SD slot that allows up to 64 GB.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a really longer battery lifetime than HTC Flyer, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC Flyer, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC Flyer. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC Flyer, resigning a couple features and specifications.
