The Xperia Tablet Z is just a bit better than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, having a general score of 68.5 against 62.6. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has a more recent 4.4.4 version while Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has Android 4.0 version, so it provides the user some extra features and performance enhancements. The Xperia Tablet Z construction is newer and much thinner than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's, but it's incredibly heavier.

Xperia Tablet Z features a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because although it has a weaker 400 MHz graphics processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). Xperia Tablet Z has a slightly better looking screen than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a larger display, a just a little higher pixel density and a much better 1200 x 1920 resolution.

The Xperia Tablet Z has a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia Tablet Z also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.

Xperia Tablet Z counts with a superior battery life than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, letting go some features and specifications.
