Comparison review

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a general score of 69.2, which is a bit better than Sony Xperia Tablet Z's 68.5 general score. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has 4.4.2 version while Sony Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4 version. Even though the Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Sony Xperia Tablet Z were released only a couple months apart, Galaxy Note 8.0's construction is thicker but much lighter than the Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a just a little higher pixel density, a much higher 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a larger display. The Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit more powerful CPU than Xperia Tablet Z, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor and a 2 GB RAM, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a much better GPU running at 1.06 GHz.

The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 32 GB internal memory. Sony Xperia Tablet Z has longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 6000mAh battery size against 4600mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a little bit better camera than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a much lower 5 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot lower 1280x720 video quality.
