Comparison review

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a general score of 68.5, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's 62.7 overall score. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z body is lighter and a lot thinner than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, even when both were only released 3 months apart. These tablets have Android OS, but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0, so it provides the user some nice extra features.

The Xperia Tablet Z features just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a 400 MHz graphics co-processor, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a greater number of 1.5 gigahertz cores and 1 GB more RAM. Xperia Tablet Z has a better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xperia Tablet Z also has much more pixels per display inch and a much higher 1200 x 1920 resolution.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a much better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has 24 GB more internal memory. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with greater battery life than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 17% larger battery size.

Xperia Tablet Z has a way better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a camera in the back with much more mega pixels.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, resigning a couple features and specifications.
