The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, having a 68.5 score against 61.7. Even though the Sony Xperia Tablet Z and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE were released with only 5 months difference, Sony Xperia Tablet Z's construction is notably heavier but also way thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. These tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has newer 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1, so it provides you a couple nice extra features.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a greater count of pixels per inch of display, a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a really bigger screen. Xperia Tablet Z features a very superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 32 GB internal storage capacity.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have a 400 MHz graphics processor, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has more cpu cores and 1 GB more RAM memory. Xperia Tablet Z has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a much better (Full HD) video quality and a back facing camera with a way better 8.1 mega pixels resolution.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a superior battery life than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your money.
