Comparison review

The Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, having a 68.5 score against 57.6. Both tablets we compare here work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has the previous 4.4.4 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Xperia Tablet Z's construction is somewhat thinner than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's incredibly heavier and was released 4 years before.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a processing unit that is very similar to the processing unit in Xperia Tablet Z, because although the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with 4 more 1.5 gigahertz CPU cores and more RAM memory. Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a bit more vivid screen than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have the same 1200 x 1920 resolution, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also counts with a larger display.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD takes way better pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lower (Full HD) video definition and a camera with a lower 8 mega pixels resolution. The Xperia Tablet Z has a bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 5100mAh.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
