Comparison review

Xperia Z2 Tablet is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), with a overall score of 69.8 against 68.3. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Xperia Z2 Tablet has an older 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo. Despite of the fact Xperia Z2 Tablet is noticeably older and somewhat heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), it's design is still noticeably thinner.

The Xperia Z2 Tablet features a lot better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a little bit higher screen pixels density, a bigger screen and a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a much better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, because it has 16 GB more internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 400 GB.

Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet counts with a better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet also has an additional graphics co-processor and a larger amount of RAM. The Xperia Z2 Tablet features better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) shoots much better videos and photos than Xperia Z2 Tablet, although it has a way less mega pixels resolution camera in the back and a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is also a bit cheaper, making this tablet a very good choice.
