The Huawei MediaPad X2 has a general score of 72.7, which is just a bit better than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's overall score of 71.3. Both tablets in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei MediaPad X2 has a newer 5.0 version while Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has Android 4.4, so it provides a couple additional features and enhanced performance. Even though the Huawei MediaPad X2 and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact were only released 7 months apart, Huawei MediaPad X2's body is just a little lighter but also thicker than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 counts with a bit better looking screen than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1200, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also counts with a just a little better quantity of pixels in each inch of display.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 has a bit more powerful processor than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also counts with a 64-bit processor and a greater number of cores (but slower).

Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact captures clearer photographs and videos than Huawei MediaPad X2, although it has a way worse 8.1 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a worse (Full HD) video quality. Huawei MediaPad X2 has a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 128 GB, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also has 16 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 counts with a little longer battery performance than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.

Although Huawei MediaPad X2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei MediaPad X2, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, giving up some specifications.
