Comparison review
The Acer Iconia W700 is just a bit better than the Toshiba Encore, having a 59.6 score against 56.2. Both of these devices include Windows OS (operating system), but Acer Iconia W700 has older 8 Pro version while Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1 version. Although it's the best in this comparison review, Acer Iconia W700 is a thicker and notably heavier portable tablet than the Toshiba Encore.
Acer Iconia W700 counts with a bit superior processor than Toshiba Encore, because although it has an inferior number of cores and they are also slower, it also counts with more RAM and an additional graphics co-processor. Toshiba Encore counts with a slightly better looking screen than Acer Iconia W700, although it has a way lower resolution of 800 x 1280px, a lot smaller display and a just a bit less pixels per screen inch.
The Acer Iconia W700 has a much greater storage to install applications and games than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage. The Toshiba Encore captures much better photographs and videos than Acer Iconia W700, because it has a camera in the back with way more megapixels.
Acer Iconia W700's battery performance is just as good as the battery life in Toshiba Encore.
Although Acer Iconia W700 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Toshiba Encore, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Toshiba Encore. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Toshiba Encore, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your money.
