Toshiba Encore is a little bit outdated tablet, having a very fast 1800 MHz Quad-Core processor, a comfortable 8" multi touch screen, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera.
Regarding its body design materials, this tablet is made with Plastic. The Toshiba Encore is available just in color gray. It seems like Toshiba didn't care so much about the weight in this 15.87 oz tablet. While this tablet is only 8.39" long, it manages to pack a 8 inches screen. Although this tablet is very thin and comfortable it's not so thin as many other tablets you can find, with a thickness of 0.42".
This tablet is equipped with a interesting 8" display with a 800 x 1280 resolution, giving this tablet a nice graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This tablet is equipped with an extremely powerful 1800 MHz Quad-Core processor, packed into the Intel Atom Z3740 system chip and a large 2 GB RAM memory. A good point of this tablet is the 32 GB inmense internal storage and a slot for external memory cards, enough to store hundreds of applications and even the heaviest games available nowadays without even thinking about filling the tablet.
This tablet counts with WiFi capability (although it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem). This device doesn't have a SIM card, because it isn't a GSM tablet.
This tablet features two cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. In addition, this tablet device's camera also includes auto-focus.
The Toshiba Encore also comes with a couple of cool features as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This tablet is priced $ 235, not cheap for a tablet device this level.
