Comparison review
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a lot better than the Toshiba Encore, having a global score of 69.2 against 56.2. Both tablets in this review use Windows OS (operating system), but Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has the previous 8 version and Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1 version. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 design is a little bit thinner but incredibly heavier than Toshiba Encore.
Toshiba Encore features just a bit better display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 800 x 1280px and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a better screen pixel density. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a much bigger storage to install games and applications than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
Toshiba Encore has just a bit better performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Toshiba Encore also has a larger number of cores. The Toshiba Encore and the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 count with incredibly similar cameras, they have the same resolution back-facing camera.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a superior battery lifetime than Toshiba Encore.
In addition to being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is also a bit cheaper.
