Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 61.8, which is slightly better than the Toshiba Encore's 56.2 global score. Both devices in this comparison have Windows OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface 2 has newer RT 8.1 version while Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1 version, so it provides you some nice extra features. The Microsoft Surface 2 is a thinner but extremely heavier tablet than Toshiba Encore.
Toshiba Encore counts with a bit better CPU than Microsoft Surface 2. They have a 2 GB RAM memory and 4 processing cores. The Toshiba Encore has a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a bit lower amount of pixels per inch of screen, a much lower 800 x 1280 resolution and a lot smaller screen.
Microsoft Surface 2's storage capacity to install games and applications is very similar to Toshiba Encore's one, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has no slot for SD memory cards, they both have the same internal memory. Microsoft Surface 2 and Toshiba Encore have really similar batteries duration.
Toshiba Encore has a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has a camera with a way higher resolution.
In addition to being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, Microsoft Surface 2 is also by far the cheapest, which makes it a great choice.
