Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro is much better than the Toshiba Encore, getting a 63.2 score against 56.2. Despite being the best in our current comparison, the Microsoft Surface Pro body is extremely thicker and a lot heavier than Toshiba Encore. Both of these devices come with Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro has an older 8 Pro version while Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1.

Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit superior CPU than Toshiba Encore, because although it has an inferior number of cores, it also counts with more RAM and an additional graphics processing unit. The Toshiba Encore features a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, although it has a way smaller display, a way lower resolution of 800 x 1280 and a bit worse quantity of pixels per inch of screen.

The Microsoft Surface Pro features a much better memory to store more games and applications than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Toshiba Encore features a way better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a much more MP back-facing camera.

The Toshiba Encore and the Microsoft Surface Pro count with really similar batteries duration.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Toshiba Encore, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Toshiba Encore. If you want to save some money, you can buy Toshiba Encore, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
