The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a global score of 60.4, which is just a bit better than the Toshiba Excite 13's 55.4 score. These devices have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A (2016) has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Toshiba Excite 13 has Android 4.0, so it provides you a couple additional features. Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s design is much newer, thinner and noticeably lighter than Toshiba Excite 13.

The Toshiba Excite 13 counts with just a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab A (2016), although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Toshiba Excite 13 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a lot lower pixel density, it also counts with a better resolution of 900 x 1600 and a way larger display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) captures better pictures and videos than Toshiba Excite 13. Both of them have a back camera with a 5 megapixels, the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution. The Toshiba Excite 13 has a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
