Toshiba Excite 13 is a mid-end portable tablet launched some years ago, in 2012, including a large 13.3 inches multi touch screen, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1500 megahertz, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. Let's take a deeper sight of what this tablet has to offer.
Toshiba decided to design this tablet using a NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip, holding an exceptional 1500 megahertz Quad-Core CPU with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little low considering this tablet's awesome CPU. A good point of the Toshiba Excite 13 is its astonishing 64 GB internal storage and an external memory card slot, which allows the user to store hundreds of apps and even the largest games currently available without having to worry about how much storage capacity is left.
The Toshiba Excite 13 is quite thin, while it's not close to being one of the thinnest portable tablets in the market, with a thickness of 0.4 inches. This tablet just has 13.5" long and 8.5" wide, but it still manages to hold a 13.3 inches display. Toshiba didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 35.2 oz device.
This tablet features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front side camera. It is also able to shoot 1920x1080 Full HD videos. This tablet also has flash.
Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
This tablet counts with Wi-Fi connection (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G data connection, supported by HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Toshiba Excite 13 doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't work with GSM connections.
This device also comes with a handful of cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and Accelerometer.
This tablet is priced about 749 dollars, high for this kind of portable tablet.
