The Huawei MediaPad M1 is better than the Toshiba Excite 7.7, with a 61.5 score against 54.2. Although Huawei MediaPad M1 is a little bit thicker than Toshiba Excite 7.7, it's somewhat lighter and also newer. Both tablets in this review work with Android operating system, but Huawei MediaPad M1 has the newer 4.2.2 version while Toshiba Excite 7.7 has Android 4.0, so it gives you a lot of extra features and optimized performance.
Toshiba Excite 7.7 and Huawei MediaPad M1 feature incredibly similar displays, because although the Huawei MediaPad M1 has a just a bit worse screen density, it also counts with a quite bigger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 has a lot bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Huawei MediaPad M1 and Toshiba Excite 7.7 both have quite similar processing units, both of them have a 1 GB RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit. The Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Toshiba Excite 7.7. Toshiba Excite 7.7 counts with a little bit better camera than Huawei MediaPad M1. Both of them have the same video frame rate, the same (HD) video definition and a 5 mega-pixels camera.
Huawei MediaPad M1 not only is the best tablets of the ones we are comparing here, but it's also a lot cheaper, which makes it an obvious call.
