Toshiba Excite 7.7 is a bit outdated Android tablet released many years ago, which counts with a pretty big 7.7" touch-screen, an extremely powerful Quad-Core CPU running at 1500 MHz, a 5 MP back side camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. Great! That's it? No, it's just the introduction.
The Toshiba Excite 7.7 is a very compact tablet, taking into consideration it has a 7.7" display and it's only 5.3 inches long and 8.1" wide. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 is very thin, with a thickness of just 0.3 inches. Apparently Toshiba forgot about weight optimization in this 13.4 oz tablet. Toshiba just offers the Toshiba Excite 7.7 in black color.
Toshiba packed this device with a good 7.7 inches screen, and a resolution of 720 x 1280 (HD), making everything look quite vivid. This screen uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
Toshiba decided to equip the Toshiba Excite 7.7 using a NVIDIA Tegra 3 system chip, which holds a high speed 1.5 GHz Quad-Core CPU and only 1 GB RAM which is a bit low for such a good device. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 counts with a impressive 32 GB internal storage and an external SD slot, which allows the user to store tons of applications, games, photos and videos without worrying about how much memory is left.
This tablet has wi-fi connection (but it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and fast 3G data connection, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device works with a SIM card for GSM services.
This tablet has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It can also shoot HD 1280x720 videos. This tablet also counts with some useful features like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.
This tablet also includes some nice characteristics as Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeAccelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This tablet is not cheap at all considering it is sold for 499 dollars, and other similar tablets are being sold for much less than that.
