Toshiba Excite 7.7 is a decent quality Android portable tablet launched in April 2012, having a pretty big 7.7" multi-touch capacitive screen, an exceptional 1.5 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera.
The Toshiba Excite 7.7 feels a bit heavy comparing to other tablets , weighting 13.4 oz. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 just has 5.3 inches long, but it manages to hold a 7.7 inches screen. This tablet has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.3". The Toshiba Excite 7.7 is for sale in black color.
Toshiba decided to power this portable tablet with an exceptional Quad-Core processing unit clocking at 1500 megahertz, included in a NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit poor for such a solid portable tablet. An interesting aspect of this tablet is the 16 GB quite large internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card, allowing the user to store hundreds of games and applications without worrying about space.
This tablet includes a nice 720 x 1280 (HD) 7.7 inches screen, which makes all pictures and videos look quite colorful and brightful. Its screen uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This tablet is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 also shoots videos up to 1280x720 (HD). Additionally, the camera counts with a few good features: flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.
The Toshiba Excite 7.7 features wifi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a SIM card for GSM networks.
This tablet also includes a handful of interesting features such as Bluetooth (allows communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS, and a few sensors likeAccelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
The Toshiba Excite 7.7 is very expensive considering it is priced 410 dollars, and many similar tablets are being sold much cheaper than that.
